THE BLACK OUT 2014 - Thank you!
Another Black Out event is in the history books! After seven
years of hosting this event, we would truly like to thank everyone for your
continued support! None of this is possible without you.
The early birds and locals got the party started on Thursday
night with the sounds of 3D's own DJ TERRY HOBSON at THE WARM UP SET held at
Boujetto's Bar & Grille in Maple Hts, Ohio.
Friday night was the REP YO CITY set with Milwaukee's DJ Shorty
Smooth (by way of CLEVELAND!). Thank for you all of the cities/states that were
reppin' this weekend: Akron, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Oakland, Cincinnati,
Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia, New York City, Detroit, Toledo, Milwaukee,
Raleigh, Houston, Phoenix, St. Louis, Columbus, Philadelphia, Dayton, Warren,
Chicago, Flint, Lansing and so many more... Our hometown of Cleveland, Ohio,
extended the hospitality to our guests this weekend and we appreciate you for
that!
Saturday morning workshops were hosted by Nikki Rutherford
(Crazy Cardio and Abs) as well as Detroit's favorites Drew Alexander and Sherry
Gordon for the steppers workshop. We thank you for sharing your expertise with
our guests!
DJ Shorty Smooth was cutting up all afternoon when we forgot
about steppin' for the afternooon with the return of the infamous MidDay Party.
Twister participants includinged the champion (after many rounds) Raleigh's
Maria Lewis along with Cleveland's Deborah Manual, 3D's own Terry Hobson and
Linda Crawford from Ann Arbor, MI. Hula Hoop contest winner was Buffalo's
Victoria! We did not get a chance to get in a round of Musical Chairs because
everyone was having a good time listening to Shorty Smooth's old school sounds,
freestyle dancing and playing games like Giant Connect 4, Chess, Checkers, a
crazy Bid Whist game in the corner. You had to be there!
The main event, THE BLACK OUT, started off with Detroit's
Rockin' Rodney Mack and featured Chicago's DJ Mellow Khris rocking the spot and
packing the oversized dance floor. Saturday night. The STEPPERS BRUNCH on
Sunday is always a crowd favorite with the delicious food and tunes that kept
dancers on the floor until the very end of the event!

Cleveland claimed the $500 Cash Giveaway Raffle drawing for
the second year in a row! Congrats to Sandi Thompson, who was very excited her
name was selected during the main event Saturday night!
